Seven-Week Foundational Mental Fitness Program

Week 1 | Self Command Muscle

Following a 2-hour orientation meeting, through breakthrough processes called PQ Reps, you get to boost your self-command muscle. Each PQ Rep only takes 10 seconds and can be done with eyes open or closed. With each PQ Rep, you develop greater mastery over your own mind, quiet the negative voice in your head, and activate the positive region of your brain.

Week 2-3 | Saboteur Interceptor Muscle

Now you get to intercept your top Saboteurs the moment they try to hijack your thoughts, feelings, and actions. During this practice, you expose the lies and discover the limiting beliefs and damage your Saboteurs create. Now they can no longer fool you into thinking they are helpful in keeping you safe.

Week 4-7 | Sage Muscle

Practice the Sage Perspective - that every problem or challenge can be converted into a gift and opportunity. Generate the gifts by practicing tools and techniques that stimulate your 5 Sage Powers.

Your saboteurs are the cause stress, anxiety, self-doubt, frustrations, restlessness and unhappiness. They sabotage your performance, wellbeing and relationships.

Taking the saboteur assessment is your first step in defeating your saboteurs – identifying them to expose their lies and self-limiting habits of mind.

Some people believe that negative emotions are helpful. For example, they think stress gives them their performance edge, or beating themselves or others up is needed to improve.

Feeling pain for a split second when your hand touches a hot stove is indeed useful – it delivers an important alert to remove it. Your Saboteurs keep you stuck on the hot stove and continuously feeling negative emotions harm your performance, relationships, happiness and health.

In this program, you learn how to use negative emotions as a helpful warning, and then quickly activate the positive region of the brain where there is calm, clarity, creativity and laser focus to handle the challenge.

You commit to watching a 1-hour video each week and doing a combined total of 15 minutes of practice per day which is guided by the exclusively designed Positive Intelligence App on your phone or tablet. These pre-recorded processes are facilitated by Shirzard.

1:1 coaching and POD group meetings and 1-on-1 coaching are facilitated by Insight to Influence's accredited PQ Mental Fitness Coaches.

This might sound like a lot of time, but your happiness and wellbeing are absolutely worth it! In fact, cumulatively, it constitutes less than 2% of your awake time for the duration of the program. Your Saboteurs are costing you far more than 2% of your time, effort, energy, and productivity. Consider how much more than 2% of time and productivity this seven-week investment will save for years to come.

While you'll be asked to read the first 8 chapters of the book, while participating in the program, you can't learn to drive a motor car by reading a book about it. The book provides the research foundations and introduces the tools and language. The video session guides you through experiential exercises that help you personalize the tools to your own personality, dominant saboteurs and needs. And the app coaches you to practice one tool at a time in the context of your own daily work and life challenges.

Even though the focus of the program is personal development, team leaders often call this program the best team building experience they have ever had. Participating in the program together significantly deepens trust and clears the air related to recurrent conflicts and unhelpful team dynamics. Since conflicts and disharmony is mostly generated by Saboteurs, this program gives the entire team a shared framework for helping each other grow, making decisions, responding to setbacks, and managing different styles and agendas.

The GROW Program

At the completion of the 7-week foundational Mental Fitness Program, the foundations have been laid. Creating lasting, positive change is a life-long process as we continue to mature and lean in to our full potential. The GROW Program is available for the following 8 – 52 weeks in the form of a monthly or annual subscription.

The GROW program opens up a whole world of incredible resources, with complete flexibility in the implementation design. People can explore and continue at their own pace or with ongoing facilitated pod group support and a customised syllabus. For example (not limited to):

  • Fortnightly (or monthly) in-focus video which can be predetermined by the group to align with the current context and needs. In this way, the whole organisation is focusing and talking about the same topic at the same time – learning and growing together.
  • Fortnightly or monthly pod meetings, either consultant facilitated or leader led conversations with their teams.
  • More than 6 months of new daily exercises - the participants can set how frequently they wish to receive daily coach challenges.
  • Agreed number of additional 1:1 coaching sessions.
